Time Out has teamed up with The View from the Shard to give away 50 pairs of tickets to the exclusive opening day of the breathtaking new attraction.

The Shard may be a relative newbie to the city, but the tallest building in the European Union is fast becoming an iconic part of London's famous skyline. The structure was finished in March last year but hasn't been ready to open its doors (and lifts) to the public - until now.

This February 1 The View from The Shard will be welcoming visitors to the heights of the dazzling landmark for a 360° view over London that's second-to-none.

Guests will be able to see the length and breadth of London laid out beneath them from Level 69, where they can also survey the city in more detail thanks to high tech digital telescopes. And for an even loftier perspective there's Level 72, the highest public level at 244m, from which you can look up into the shards at the very peak of the building.
