David Conlon, pastry chef of the swanky Hilton Waldorf, will be teaching wannabe Mary Berrys the art of decorating the perfect patisseries – there'll be demonstrations of sugar paste and royal icing techniques, lace work, writing, and much more. If all that piping makes you peckish, afternoon tea will be served after the event (at additional cost). You can just do the afternoon tea bit on its own, too, if icing's not your bag. £5 of the ticket price goes to Barnardo's Children's Charity.
