The newly refurbished space opens with the astonishing 15-metre-long Walthamstow Tapestry by Grayson Perry, an artist William Morris would surely have admired for his craftsmanship and creative skill. Charting man's passage through life from birth to death, Perry's work chronicles contemporary life in such an emotionally impactful and visually compelling way that it utterly absorbing.
