Halloween: Ghost, Witches and Demons with London Fortean Society

Investigators of all that's weird and worrisome, the London Fortean Society host a Halloween special in the vaults of this Bishopsgate boozer. Hear tales of ghosts, witches and demons from Roger Clarke, author of 'A Natural History of Ghosts: 500 Years of Hunting for Proof', and Jessie Childs, an award winning historian who will uncover the true story of an exorcism performed on a young chambermaid in Hackney by a group of fugitive priests in 1586. Guests will also hear from Deborah Hyde, editor of Skeptic magazine as she tells the tragic story of the 'Witch of Eye', and from Scott Wood as he maps out where to find the scariest local ghosts and ghouls haunting the city.
