[title]
All aboard. Hermitage Moorings is letting visitors clamber onto its 18 historic boats, all of which are residential and usually closed to the public. Each vessel has a plaque detailing its history – one was originally designed for Dutch princess; another took part in last years Ships Opera during the Thames Festival. Residents will be on hand to answer questions about boat life (like, Do you get sea sick? Do you have electricity?), and on Saturday March 14 the interior of one boat will be open so that visitors can have a good poke around inside. The cafe, which looks out on to Tower Bridge, will have activity sheets for kids and knot-tying challenges.
