Time Out says

The weekend full of events to launch the newly refurbished station and surrounding area will offer the sights, sounds, thrills and tastes of a bygone era. In Granary Square families will be able to send their little minors to learn how to sweep a chimney or shovel coal, ladies can relax with gin cocktails in a Victorian parlor, while gentlemen can sample local ales and race penny-farthings. Once the children have earned it visitors will be able to travel down King’s Boulevard by train to the brand new King’s Cross Square for old-fashioned fairground rides and sweet treats. Those interested in the industrial heritage of King’s Cross can visit the spruced up Gasholder No. 8, an iconic piece of Victorian engineering. Visitors will also be able to take a tour of the development, exploring the history of other recently restored structures such as the Granary Building and the West Handyside Canopy.
