Packed Lunch

Fancy packing your lunchtime with more than a clingfilmed cheese and pickle sandwich? At these monthly lunchtime discussions organised by the Wellcome Collection local scientists talk about their most recent work, explaining everything from what it’s like to work in a lab to the difference their research will make to the world of science. The drop-in sessions are free and you’re welcome to eat that sarnie while you listen. 

February's talk looks at how cells communicate, and how our understanding of it could help us to improve treatments for pancreatic cancer, and potentially more conditions. In March Simon Cousens discusses whether mass media campaigns can improve the health of under-fives in low-income communites based on his research project in Burkina Faso.
