Peal Attempt

Time Out says

'Bow Bells' are famously the auditory indication of whether or not you're a Cockney, so a chance to hear a full peal – getting all 12 of St Mary-Le-Bow's bells to ring in the correct sequence – is a real treat. It can take up to three-and-a-half hours to ring a full peal, a task so complex it's always referred to as a Peal Attempt – even though St Mary's ringers are so skilled there is little real chance of failure.

This particular ringing is the (wait for it!) Marmalade Peal: in honour of the tenth anniversary of the World Marmalade Festival, of which the Rector is a patron.
