Takeover Day

Children get the chance to take charge of many of the UK's museums, galleries and historic sites for this annual event, which is run by the charity Kids in Museums. Young people are given responsibility and real roles to take on for the day such as being a guide, curator or archivist. A list of participating venues will be released nearer the time on the Kids in Museums website.
