The h.Club100

Time Out London and The Hospital Club present the 100 most influential creatives in Britain

London media gurus The Hospital Club and Time Out devised the h.Club 100: a search for the most original and influential people in the UK creative and media industries. Then we asked you to vote – and here are the results: the talent that is shaping the future.

Okay, there are actually not 100 people on this list: Grayson Perry sneaked in twice and we’ve counted some multi-person projects as one entry. It’s a reminder that this is a snapshot of where UK creativity, in all its messy brilliance, is at right now. It’s been an incredible year for the arts in the UK. In 2012 we fell for ‘Sherlock’ (again), cheered on ‘Matilda’ and cried at Danny Boyle’s Olympics curtain-raiser. From backroom boys to major stars, we salute the innovators, visionaries and pioneers behind what’s now and what’s next.

Is there someone we've missed? Start browsing the list below then tell us who you think should have been on the list in the comments.

  • Alex (Lexitriicty) whom I have known only a short time through a mutual friend has boundless enthusiasm and a natural flair for creating the most beauitful, epic pieces of film I have seen for a long time. She has won quite a armful of awards to date, and rightly so, and this is only the start of greater things. As a photographer, I share with her a passion for cinematic compositions, and look forward to working with her in future. One to seriously watch out for. Love this girl.

  • I met this extremely talented lady after presenting a panel on film and digital at the BFI theatre on the Southbank, then the NFT a few years back : here questions were amazingly accurate and challenging : then shortly after I saw her first pop promo : and her second : her approach to ideas, sets, costumes, acquisition medium ( often using film, 16 and 35mm ) and her ballsy approach has astounded me : anyone who views " Gentlemen In Squalor " for Top Shelf Jazz, or " Bad Penny " for Tarmean , followed by " One Day " for LMFAO :add some commercials in " stolen book " and award-winning shorts such as " Blink " : this is a person to be watched : KP
