The Micrarium

Why should the big beasts of the animal kingdom get all the attention? This new, permanent display gives nature's tiny things their moment in the spotlight. A former office has been converted into a back-lit 'cave' covered wall-to-wall with microscope slides showing miniscule specimens such as beetles sliced along their entire length – through head, legs, body, even antennae – and a whole squid, just a couple of millimetres long. Also look out for tiny pieces of giant animals – including whales, mammoths and giraffes.
