Adults and children over six can scale new heights at hour-long tree climbing workshops in Alexandra Park. Friendly instructors teach those with lofty ambitions how to enter a tree’s canopy with the help of ropes, knots and karabiners. And with harnesses in place at all times the worst that can happen is the indignity of a bit of a dangle. There’s a zip wire from the top of the tree for those who make it up there and feel they’d like to celebrate with a high-speed descent. Book in advance on the Alexandra Palace website.
