Time Out says

There’s no glamour – and precious little glory – awarded to the thousands of soldiers who wrangle over the logistics of delivering post, moving equipment and making sure dinner is on the table for the uniformed personnel in Afghanistan. The Imperial War Museum’s, ‘War Story: Supplying the Frontline’, aims to shine a light on the unsung contribution of the British servicemen and women charged with supplying these mundane daily essentials in a hostile environment.

Through photographs and film, ‘War Story’ traces the military’s efforts as they shift gear from the UK to Camp Bastion (a Reading-sized base in Helmand Province), and then on to forward positions around Afghanistan – a truly astounding feat when you consider they’re feeding an army which needs seven and a half tonnes of chips each week alone.
