Don't miss any of the action this summer and find the best places to watch the Olympics

If you weren't lucky enough to get tickets to any of the Olympic events, or if you could only bag tickets to the second round of the Men's Greco-Roman Wrestling, you needn't worry – we've rounded up the best ways to watch the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Free events at London 2012 Olympic Games

There are many events taking place at the London 2012 Olympics that spectators can watch without a ticket. Both the Road Race and Time Trial Cycling events, which are taking place in south west London nearby Hampton Court Palace, are free for spectators. For a good glimpse of the cycling line the streets early and cheer on the competitors.

The majority of the Triathlon is non-ticketed and can be watched from both inside Hyde Park and along the streets between Hyde Park and Buckingham Palace. The Marathon is also non-ticketed. For all of the cycling, Triathlon and Marathon routes visit www.london2012.com.

For those with grounds admission tickets for Olympic Park, there will be large, outdoor screens showing the day's Olympic events. If you wish to climb the Orbit sculpture then you can buy entrance tickets once inside the Park. Note, you cannot buy tickets for the Orbit without owning an Olympic Park grounds ticket.

It IS a wonderful moment in London's history. But too many seats are going empty and they happen to be some of the very best seats at different venues. Filling some of them with bored soldiers is a goofy solution. Why not get some of the unemployed in there free at these events? They could do with feeling included and seeing some inspirational performances.

why is it so difficult to watch the olympic games opening ceremony & closing ceremony on a big screen, FREE. london should be showing these events loud & proud in as many locations as possible, but they are not, unless you put your hand in your pocket BIG TIME.
