Workshops and courses for teenagers in London
The city is packed with creative courses for young people
Never let it be said there's nothing for young people in London to do. The city's cultural institutions run a huge range of workshops and activities aimed at teenagers, covering all manner of creative pursuits. From DJing to dance, painting to performance, video editing to event production there are opportunities all year round to hone some skills, make new friends and get behind the scenes at London's biggest venues.
Anything we've missed? Tell us in the comments below.

I'm 14 and I'm basically interested in any classical music/history/english literature events or lectures. Does anyone know about stuff like this for youths?
Hey all, just seen this article in Timeout about workshops and programmes available for young people to learn/gain extra skills. Is there anyone out there interested in learning about web design? If so, you might like to know there's a short term work programme running that not only teaches you web design, but you actually get to build a Web site for a real business to practice your skills! I think it's done remotely, so you can study/work from the comfort of your own home, or even while at school or college. You have to be aged between 16 to 24, and it doesn't matter if you are currently a student, in employment, unemployed or even self employed. Hours are flexible to suit your needs, although you have to be committed to seeing your designated projects through to its end :-) the programme is also linked to an NVQ level 2 so you get qualified as well. If anyone is interested just reply here and I can post a Web link :-)

I like this photo and smiling kids in it. You know, this article gave me an excellent idea how to motivate my child to accomplish his writing tasks. Each time he gets an assignment to write an essay, I get crazy explaining why he needs to do it and finally we apply to http://britishessaywriter.co.uk/ as I have no idea how to help him. So, now I am going to make him imagine that he is journalists and is preparing his article. I am sure, it will be interesting.

I'm filming a series of 'Vox Pops' style interviews for an educational ELT video series with an extremely low budget. We're looking for English and international teens, aged 14 to 20 to answer a few questions about themselves, their use of social media and their day-to-day habits. Filming will take place in our production offices in Soho and will be supervised by an ELT specialist, as far as language is concerned. We think this could be a good opportunity for aspiring young actors or presenters to gain more experience with a video crew and being in front of the camera. Participants will need to make their way to central London and will be offered a drink and snacks. Once the edit is finished they will also get a copy of the clips to use in their show reel. If interested please email me at: email@example.com

Rawmatterial launches its first studio laboratory, a practice rarely encountered in the U.K., with a theatre approach that has never been explored in the land of Shakespeare ever before. Addressed to theatre professionals and drama students alike, this 10-day workshop will take place in the beautiful Poetry Café in Covent Garden, London and will explore Oscar Wilde’s lesser known texts (The Decay of Lying, De Profundis, etc..). The laboratory will be conducted by theatre director and pedagogue Stéphane Poliakov and actress and researcher Maria Gaitanidi, using a dramatic analysis of the text for the action and put in practice with the method of the étude, as developed by Russian Master Anatoli Vassiliev.
