Lasting 1,000 years, Jem Finer’s 'Longplayer' is the longest non-repeating piece of music ever composed. Its live debut will be a 1,000-minute section performed by 25 musicians on concentric circles of singing bowls. Alongside the unfolding music, there will be a 12-hour series of one-to-one conversations between 24 speakers including Jeanette Winterson, Susie Orbach, Ruth Padel, Marcus du Sautoy, Robert Preston and Lisa Jardine.
