As this curious game show returns for a sixth series, a firefighter and a competitive swimmer attempt to follow the Olympic hero by completing the customary tests of skill, agility and nerve inside The Cube with a £250,000 prize at stake.
Saturday night TV has seen plenty of odd ideas such as ‘Pets Win Prizes’ and ‘Don’t Scare the Hare’ flop horribly. ‘The Cube’ is no less weird, but it also has as many Baftas as Mo has gold medals. Weird, but also slightly wonderful, it seems.
