Safari, Witchcraft and Murder
Tue Nov 26, 9-10pm, More4
In 2011, British pilot David Simpson was arrested for mass murder in the troubled Central African Republic. The backdrop to the arrest was peculiar: Simpson worked for a safari company whose operations clashed with local villagers who were establishing illegal goldmines in the area. When 13 miners were found murdered, Simpson was arrested and imprisoned.
This film uses interviews with Simpson’s family, reconstructions and exclusive material Simpson shot while in jail to piece together the story.
