Yeah, we thought so too. There simply aren’t enough celebrity dance shows on television at the moment. So here comes Davina McCall, her stock approaching sub-‘Streetmate’ levels, with half-a-dozen of the usual suspects (Brian McFadden, Denise Welch, Laurence Llewelyn Bowen…) and one who ought to know better (Carl Froch), roping in their real-life partners to learn a new dance every week, all in order to… Well, we’re not quite sure, but we’d imagine the fee might have something to do with it as there doesn’t seem to be any charitable element to the thing.
Bhangra to ballroom, disco to street, there’s literally no routine they could perform that would make us tune into this. We’d advise you to wait until next Saturday, when the BBC launches ‘Strictly’.
