Time Out says

The gallery has changed its name to Bruce Haines and is currently relocating to a space in Mayfair, opening in autumn 2015.

Established in 2007, Ancient & Modern’s compact gallery occupies an old record shop on Whitecross Street, close to the Barbican and Bunhill Fields cemetery, where William Blake and John Bunyan are buried. In its early days, the gallery gained a following through innovative pairings of works old and new (appropriately, given the name), for example Bauhaus legend László Moholy-Nagy with young Glaswegian Scott Myles and of mid-century photographer Humphrey Spender with contemporary artist Alan Kane. These days people flock to this tiny sliver of a space for its stable of European and London-based artists, including Audrey Reynolds, Alan Kane and Volker Eichelmann.
