One of the best attended open mic in town, The Cavendish Arm is the place to be to spot promising act and more importantly to have a great time. David the MC on Tuesday has an amazing talent to reveal... talents. It is always very well attended, with a superb atmosphere, a real pub like we all would love to have one in the neighbourhood. Definitely worth the trip to Stockwell!

One of the best open mic comedy nights in London. The MC is superb and brings out the best out of everyone (audience and acts alike). If you want to experience what fantastic (and free!) comedy is about - go to the Cavendish Arms.
If you are lucky you just might get to see the 'dead bird face'. Now THAT'S comedy!

I went here last Monday. Great, little pub. Great hosts. The night was for Comedy Virgins but some of these acts were not virgins. Far from it, in fact I doubt you would have found anywhere else in London that night offering a higher quality of stand up for free.

Have lived in the area for over 2 years, but only found this place a few months ago.
Cosy boozer in one half with chesterfields, an open fire and a Queen Mother fixation.
Performance space in the other half with comedy and bands going on most night.
Tee staff are friends and it has become my local.

You can pretty much guarantee a good night here every night - there will usually be some event on, whether it's music, comedy, cabaret, burlesque or just a Scotsman playing a 1980s electric organ. It's certainly worth the short walk from Stockwell tube. They server beer so you can get drunk too.

Have had lots of fun at this pub! The bar staff are really friendly and love the ballroom area! Def worth going the extra distance to get to this place, and they have Red Stripe on tap! They make the effort to do allsorts of different things, loving the random Queen Mother theme and tombolas! Check the listings out you won't be disappointed.

Stumbled across this little gem of a pub a few months back. Always loads going on the back performance room; comedy and new bands. There's a great little local market once a month. The pub is dead cosy with a great atmosphere, and great for groups or just popping in for a pint and a natter with the very friendly staff. It's off the beaten track but only a few mins walk from Stockwell tube and loads of bus routes on South Lambeth Road or Wandsworth Road. Decent selection of beers and good basic pub grub.

Love this place! Lots of cool bands and comedy nights oh, and a tombola full of trashy treats! And the disco fries are INCREDIBLE. I had my 30th birthday here last year and it was absolutely perfect for for me and all my pals in a no hassle pub with a great atmosphere.

This Hidden Gem of Stockwell has great events every night of the week in the vintage speak easy vibe Back room/ Ballroom spanning Comedy, Music & Burlesque! Plus the quirky Pub is a great local to pop in for a chat and meet interesting people. The Disco Fries are true highlight which are served till close every night! Mmm
