What is 'following'?
Hurtling about the Thames in a RIB (rigid inflatable boat) at 30 knots (or 35mph) is the closest thing we've got to a white-knuckle ride in central London. The Thames RIB Experience is run by a husband-and-wife duo new to the boating business, so everything, including the choice of cap'n, is done with encouraging caution. Lifejackets and waterproofs are provided and you're in for a ticking off should you even think about standing up in the boat. The Thames RIB Experience takes just under 40 minutes to travel from Westminster to Tower Bridge. Then the turbo engines kick in and you're off, bumping about in the open water between Tower Bridge and Canary Wharf, turning in terrifyingly tight figures of eight. It's the quickest, most thrilling way to see Thames-side London.

I took my son with 5 boys aged 8-10yrs and 4 adults for his 11th birthday. As there was 12 of us, we chartered the whole boat. From beginning to end, I was thoroughly impressed by Thames Rib Experience. Dean & Charlotte who run it were amazing. They looked after us so well, and really went out of their way to make the day special for my son. They take health and safety very seriously and we were equipped with weatherproof clothing and life jackets and the mandatory talk but don't fear, I did check and no one's ever gone overboard! Dean's knowledge of the Thames, the bridges and all the buildings along the river was thorough, he certainly knows his stuff and we all found it really interesting and educational. He invites any questions and there was nothing he didn't know and all delivered in an enjoyable way. Once we'd gone down river past the busy traffic area, the boat went full throttle and the fun really begins. The boat goes upto 38knots and twists and turns through the water and it goes right up on its side. The speed literally takes your breath away. We did the James Bond experience and with the music playing, you really feel like you could be in the film. The kids loved it and found out all about James Bond, they thought it was great. We went down to Canary Wharf and back which took about 40mins and at the end there were lots of photos to choose from as a memory of our day. I would certainly recommend this to any age. Dean and Tracey have poured their heart and soul into this and their passion and dedication really comes across. i will be back again
