Suited to its surroundings, it's a confidently cool and slightly camp New York-style dive bar split between two floors, clad in cement, brick and steel vents. Expect everything from DJ showcases to exhibitions, and barn dances to music nights.

great music and a fun mix of people. not at all "campy" as claimed in the description, but definitely hipster-fashionista (but in a fun way, not pretentious). went on a saturday, and the place was packed. But the venue is really narrow, so people are always carving a path through the dance floor (lots of spilled drinks) and trying to maneuver around the bar upstairs was at times impossible. That is the biggest drawback. They also ran out of room in the coat check by 1 am, so I would suggest getting there early. There was a line by 2 am (surely they were already over capacity). Four stars for the good vibes and great DJ, but the venue itself leaves much to be desired.
I took a girl there on a second date. No problem getting past Salvador Dali on the door. Downstairs was full of shirtless gay men but they were no bother. Great disco music and free iced water to start sobering ourselves up. I had a good time and it's a nice change from Shoreditch which is like Laughton these days.
wow, never been to such an awful place. my friends were insulted by the queen with the moustache on the door, meanwhile inside was dead. I went outside to ask him why they couldn't come in and he 'gave me the hand' jerry springer style. biggest douchebag I've ever met in my 22 years on this earth.
wow. superstore sucks so hardcore. soooooo, me and my friends aparently made the cut for cool people to get in (total bullshit - just wear glasses and you'll get in). once inside it was just a few boring losers. not even full at all. and nobody talks to each other. so boring. so busy trying to be "cool". such try hards. now i know why none of my friends want to go to superstore. so done. superstore- get over yourselves and get a crowd.
super bored. super boring. supershit superstore.
Ha ha. Gotta laugh at the losers that can't get in. Middle class middle management losers, stick to your mediocre shitty bars, and stop troubling us. I'd recommend Brick Lane for you for some sensible handbag house. Leave the underground alone. WE DON"T WANT YOU!
moustached drag queens on coke? oh yeah baby.. i feel like poo pooing my way there at any cost tonite. doormans watch out.
Excellent bar/club and the chips are superb. Friday night dwonstairs and the DJ's taste in music was absolutly brilliant with some great and amusing art by Jamie Mcleod. I think i will go every week now before it gets too popular.
Address is wrong. should be 117 not 177 kingsland high street.
come on guys!
Really wasn't worth the effort. Rude doorstaff. Avoid
Brilliant! ...recently went to hear Optimo DJ's play here and had one of the best nights out in a long time. The DJ's and music are always spot on with a great soundsystem too, wud totally recommend if u want a good night dancing!
jumped up queen with a moustache on the door - biggest idiot in the world.
avoid at any cost.
Sam I agree with you, even the staff are exctremly rude and pretentious, definatly not worth it. i have been in and its a shithole
Great to have a decent gay venue up in East London at least and the music is spot on - definitely worth it for the hot boys on display!
Unexpectedly seeing Adam Lambert walk in last Saturday was worth it but that was all.
Have to agree with you Zoe..This place is not worth the effort - unless of course you are a moustache spotter - there is a cracker here - shame cant be said about the grower as he and his promoters outside are pathetically full of themselves.
I vow never to go to Dalston Superstore again! Last night was the 3rd time of trying to get in, only to be told on the door by a very rude and pretentious man with a moustache saying 'Guest List' only. I think he makes his own rules. My advice would be to avoid this man!
