What is 'following'?Although almost entirely underground, this fitness club on the banks of the Thames has such great facilities that you can easily forgive the lack of riverside views. Five studios offer classes ranging from yoga to circuit training, a boxing ring and a state-of-the-art gym with AMT (a cross between an elliptical trainer and step machine) equipment. There's also a Beauty Essence salon, steam room, sauna and solarium. In addition, the club caters to the corporate market with classes and treatments aimed at the time-poor (do a 15-minute exercise class at lunch) and lucrative company rates. There's another branch in Kensington's Olympia, which offers a golf simulator and a walk-in GP service.

Terrible management - these gyms have gone DOWNHILL since they opened in 2006-08. Rude receptionists who don't seem to know what they are doing; no member communication regarding facilities; class schedules or membership changes. I have been a member for 4 years but I still get regular text messages (no was no opt-out clause?) requesting me to join the gym! Emails and calls to management are ignored. The Olympia gym, which is a residential area, offers very little in terms of classes during evenings and weekends - many members are full fee paying residents who are city workers. Not very clever marketing/membership management. They are getting dirty and run down now. Great when they opened but not anymore. Go elsewhere.
