I walked past this pub on the 18th August and there was a sign outside stating: no Irish. On the reverse side of the sign it said: not on my watch. I have photographed the sign outside the pub and am reporting it to the Council. This is totaaly out of order and I hope they shut it down- AVOID this place...

A lovely little pub, cosy, friendly with comfy sofas. Had a great Sunday roast and we tucked ourselves round the corner by the open log fire whilst the boys watched the football.

Rolled in here late on a Friday night a few weeks ago to find a really good boozer. A good crowd and some decent cider on tap for once! Which made this west country boy happy. They have a late licence for the weekends I think. Would certainly go back and perhaps try the food out - the kitchen was closed by the time we got there, but the menu looked good. I think this pub was called something else previously but they've changed the name and updated it - liked it a lot.

Great Monday night live music last night. Hank, Seggs, Ben + 4. more of a semi-impromptu gig playing inter alia Man of Constant Sorrow (nice rendition including mandolin, banjo, clarinet and tight harmony) and some Steve Miller stuff ( v tasty), We all sang along and rattled a tambourine, hit a cymbal, made up our own words and respected the neighbours after 11.00 p.m. A blast. Dennis Just Dennis in good voice too (thanks Old Rosie!)dennismonaghan60@hotmail.com soon to host poetry evening. Should be interesting.

Much improved, great staff, excellent sensibly priced food (fish cakes a blast), thoughtful music, and they sell Bitter as well as the other stuff (Wandle was off but Tim Taylor's Landlord was on). Couple of small pub dogs (one at a time). This place will do well. Nice fires inside and courtyard at back with leather sofas etc.
