Adelphi Theatre
Adelphi Theatre review
The Adelphi is the go-to theatre for musical fans: 'Sunset Boulevard', 'Chicago', 'Evita' and 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat' have dominated the stage here since 1993. As you'd expect, the Adelphi is one of the West End's less bashful venues, shamelessly reliant on the appeal of famous faces (from Petula Clark as the ageing Norma Desmond to Gareth Gates as the over-earnest Joseph) and its razzle-dazzle billboards that guide you like a beacon to its doors on the Strand.
