Smack bang in the middle of the West End, Bar Rumba is one of the capital's best-loved basement venues with a glittering musical heritage. Owned by the same team responsible for West End style haven Punk, Bar Rumba now hosts classic indie session Blow Up as well as other long-running staples such as drum 'n' bass night Movement which has hosted the scene's biggest names including Fabio, Grooverider, DJ Hype and DJ Marky. There's also Barrio Latino for salsa fans on Tuesdays. Weekends are for over-21s only and earplugs are advisable to protect against the impact of oversized speakers in such a small space.

Wow, what a great little club. I joined some friends for a birthday party they booked at Bar Rumba over the weekend. I had a great time and so did everyone else. The dance floor was packed all night, the staff were really friendly and we got a free GIANT cocktail just for booking a party with them!!!!

My only criticism is that they need to sort out the air con in there as it was a bit of a sweat box.

I'll definately be going back though.

The layout the performers. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
Stay for some partying and drinks too.

I hate going out...

I really enjoyed Bar Rumba, my friends have badgered me into telling everybody in the office how much of a good time i had, so i decided to let everybody know by writing a review.

I remember, John falling by the stairs - hilarious
kathy got way too drunk and shes the director (and a friend also)
Tommy did the most annoying caraoke style rendition of a michael jackson song
i moaned until chatting with a gorgeous bartender
abdul pulled
jane is going to get in trouble with her husband for kissing the toilet guy (seriously joking) but she did spend a long time chatting
and the others really made my first night out in ages quite memorable.

Thanks guys.
We should do it again!!

Bar Rumba next weekend - 1st rounds on me :)

I booked a booth for a hen party on the weekend and I'm very happy that I chose Rumba! From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly, fun and incredibly courteous, and despite us arriving late, our booth was still reserved! Music was great and I danced the night away! I will definitely recommend Bar Rumba to my friends.

I try to go down to Bar Rumba once a week, its an awesome night out! full of laughter and giggles! every time i go there i enjoy myself more and more! The people that work there are incredible, they always go out of their way to give you a good ngiht, whether you are holding an event, on the guest list or popping in to say hi over a cheeky monkey! The music is great! always something to dance to! as soon as you have been there once you are going to want to go back again and again! i love that one day you can be dressed up to the max and shaking it on the dance floor and the next winning a bottle of champagne for being the best fance dressed Genie (from alladdin - duh!) in the club! also the pole on the stage means that me and the girls can enjoy a bit of the poledancing lifestyle ;) x
