The ultimate Soho shebeen, St Moritz has been packing in fans of debauched hair metal (Decadence every Saturday) to ska, classic R&B and rock 'n' roll (Gaz's Rockin' Blues on Thursdays) for decades. Located beneath a Swiss restaurant, the basement club has retained much of the same décor it has had since the '60s, giving it a timeless London feel. Its flagship club night, helmed by legendary selector Gaz Mayall, has been running there every Thursday for the past 30 years and still packs in a vibrant mix of rockers from across the decades with turbocharged live performances each week.
