What is 'following'?
Wyndham's is a West End theatre with genuine pedigree. It was here that JM Barrie staged a series of plays from 1903; Graham Greene chose it to premiere 1953's The Living Room; and Edward Albee presented the autobiographical 'Three Tall Women' starring Maggie Smith here. It is also where Madonna made her rather awkward West End debut in 2002. Today, Wyndham's is best known for hosting Donmar Warehouse's programme of big plays and big names that opened in 2008 with Chekhov's 'Ivanov'. The production set the bar high for a season that featured Derek Jacobi in 'Twelfth Night', Judi Dench in 'Madame de Sade' and Jude Law in 'Hamlet', all directed by Donmar's artistic director, Michael Grandage.
