Rosemary Branch Theatre review Rate it

With space for 67, this bonbon-sized theatre serves the area sandwiched between Angel and Shoreditch and is a local treasure. The site's entertainment roots stretch back to Victorian times, records suggesting the then music hall played host to Marie Lloyd, Little Titch and possibly even Charlie Chaplin. In 1992 artistic directors Cecilia Darker and Cleo Sylvestre took hold of the reigns, refurbishing the pub theatre and putting on a safe mix of plays, music and exhibitions.

wow! thats what i call a bouble bill! dont wanna give it all away but all i will say is that if you like your theatre real, honest and deeply though provoking... go see this before it sells out! ''stay with me till dawn'' is a powerful, hard hitting 3 hander, superbly acted and directed. a sharp slice of teal horror. dont be suprised if you find your self odering a double vodka at the interval to try and make sence of the society we live in. thankfully ''knuckelball'' starts off on a high, with a friskey couple, blissfully falling in love. but true to second skin theatre nature before we know it , we are taken on a rollacoaster journey of forbidden love, painful realisations from both charcters and a faint glimmer of hope in the end. beautifully acted and sensitivly written , no wonder it won the san fransisco fringe. truley a do not miss eveing of theatre!!
