Aldwych Theatre
Aldwych Theatre review
The Aldwych Theatre may currently be glowing pink - 'Dirty Dancing' providing punters with the time of their musical life - but the venue's campy façade belies a substantial reputation. Laurence Olivier directed his wife, Vivian Leigh, here in 'A Streetcar Named Desire', while the RSC called the Aldwych its London home for more than 20 years. Its architecture better reflects this weighty pedigree, all grand balconies and classy Georgian design - a look maybe more fitting to previously staged works by the likes of Edward Albee, Harold Pinter and Tom Stoppard than Baby and Johnny's raunchy rumbas.
This show was excellent i wanted to watch it again straight after. The actors are brilliant especially Martin Harvey and what a babe. I would definately reccommened this to EVERONE!!
