Come Back, Little Sheba

LA's go-to theater for the classics, A Noise Within, concludes their 2014 spring program with a heartbreaking 1950 work by the equally brilliant and tragic William Inge. Come Back, Little Sheba centers on the fallen marriage between washed-up beauty queen Lola and her husband Doc, a recovering alcoholic on the edge of relapse. A pretty young college student comes to stay as a boarder in the cluttered Midwest box they call home, at which time their lives are rattled, as silent passions quake to the brim.
