Time Out says

Need an excuse to escape your daily routine and LA’s heat this summer? Take the tram up to the Getty and celebrate the museum’s 30th anniversary with its new exhibition, “Convergences: Selected Photographs from the Permanent Collection.” Spend a leisurely hour with the 14 groupings of contemporary and historical photographs from the last century, which highlight the intersections between the Getty’s recently acquired photographs from photographers like Loretta Lux, Vera Lutter and Cindy Sherman, and their existing collection, which includes artists Imogen Cunningham, Walker Evans and Man Ray. If you’re willing to venture outside the air-conditioned buildings, make sure to check out the museum’s famous gardens and Instagram-worthy view of the LA skyline. Though admission is free, parking costs $15 before 5pm and $10 in the evening.
