An exhibition of giant teapots short and stout at SMMoA (Project Room 1) showcases local artist Peter Shire's career-long exploration of the household item as form. Tea for Two Hundred, beckons the Mad Hatter with eight larger than life teapots, ranging from two to six feet tall. Installed in a fantasy landscape—picture Wonderland minus the evil queen—Shire sparks a playful dialogue between the human form and that of the teapots. The opening reception on January 18 is open to the public from 7pm to 9pm.
