Bar Marmont review

Like the hotel in which it's housed, Bar Marmont is both gently exclusive and fabulously elegant. The bar itself is a stately gem, with an air of permanence lacking in so many other LA hangouts; the decor elsewhere is just as beautiful, and the butterflies pinned to the ceiling are a lovely touch. The gastropubby food now comes courtesy of Carolynn Spence, formerly of New York's fabled Spotted Pig, but this otherwise remains a reassuringly old-fashioned presence on the Sunset Strip.
