This Saturday may be Slideluck's seventh annual LA installment, but there are still many Angelenos out there who don't know the magic of an event that combines (homemade!) food, art and ideas. So, here are the basics.

Twenty-five artists: Photographers, painters, illustrators and more have been invited to display their work in slideshow format, with each piece accompanied by an audio component. For some, it's the first time they'll share their pieces with the public.

Lots of treats and libations: While attendees mingle and check out the art, they can also munch on homemade treats (bring whatever you'd like) and catered food by The Royce's chef Perry Pollaci. There's also a $5 open bar by Angel City Brewery and Sovereign Winery. (Sorry guys, this potluck ain't BYOB.)

One space: The screening will take place at Hollywood's The Space, a big, beautiful event venue owned by Transparent developer Joan Scheckel.

Two curators: This year's chosen two are Michael Hawley, art collector and former president of the Photographic Arts Council, LA; and Krista Martin, photo curator from American Apparel. Not too shabby.

Good company: Slideluck has hosted hundreds of events in 75 cities across the world since 2000, which means that wherever you are, there's a Slideluck community nearby.

Learn more about this year's artists, check out Slideluck's sexy reel and grab tickets for Saturday's show.
