American Cinematheque review

Its design inspired by King Tutankhamun's sepulchre, the Egyptian Theatre edges its Santa Monica counterpart for sheer dramatic majesty. However, the main attraction at both venues is actually still the programme: the not-for-profit American Cinematheque delivers a wide range of excellent themed mini-festivals and one-off Q&As with legendary figures. On Sundays at the Egyptian Theatre, the LA Filmforum screens experimental films and video art.
