Vampire’s Circus Party at Skybar

Skybar at The Mondrian Hotel is hosting one of the few free Halloween parties over the weekend, and all they’re asking (well, demanding really) is that you come in costume—in fact, it’s required for entry. The staff will be dressed up as well (would you rather get your drink from a vampire or a creepy clown?) and Halloween décor will include giant gold masks at the entrance and red café lights strung over the dance floor and pool. It wouldn’t be a circus without some candy floss, so a cotton candy machine will be running all evening. As for music, the late DJ AM protégé DJ Lindsay Luv, who recently showed off her electro-indie tunes at the Nylon October issue party, will be spinning. The crowd at Skybar can be hit or miss and there aren’t any Halloween drink specials, but the venue does have awesome views and, well, it’s hard to argue with free.
