Housed in a 1913 Beaux Arts building that's been restored and re-imagined on a magnificent scale, 740 is a three-level, glass-walled danceteria that offers bottle service, VIP rooms, a dress-to-impress clientele, solid EAW sound but, despite all of this, one of the area's more inclusive door policies. Although its owners experimented with superstar DJs when it first opened, 740 has gone on to become a mostly hip hop-driven venue for LA's own version of New York's bridge-and-tunnel crowd.
