Americana Hanukkah

Americana Hanukkah
Skirball Cultural Center, Westside Sunday December 2 2012 11:00 - 16:00

You don't have to celebrate Hanukkah to celebrate the Americana Hanukkah festival at the Skirball Cultural Center. The all-day family festival will feature Story Pirates, a puppeteer and storytelling troupe that will bring Hanukkah tales to life; the Macaroons, a pop/rock band that will play Hanukkah songs like "Hurry Up and Light the Candles" and "Dreidel Bird"; and the Marcus Shelby Quintet, which will perform songs by American-Jewish composers. Everything from this year's festival draws inspiration from the center's exhibition Creating the United States, which will also be open for viewing.
