This beautiful, hand-drawn film by fresh director Hiroyuki Okiura won the Grand Prize at New York's International Children's Film Festival. The whimsical yet emotional movie took seven years to complete. It tells the story of the teenage Momo, who had a fight with her father right before he died. Upon discovering an unfinished letter he had started to write her, she stumbles upon three mischievous goblins that only she can see, whom she tries to convince to help her communicate with her father. The film will be running for a week at the Nuart. See it either in Japanese with English subtitles, or an English-dubbed matinee.
