This 1977 classic Japanese horror gem has been underseen in the US. Fix that at this Nuart late-night screening. House tells the tale of a little girl and the six classmates she brings to her aunt's countryside home. Once they arrive, they're faced with nothing less than a decapitated head, demonic housecat and bloodthirsty piano. The film, which rests somewhere between terrifying and comical, was based on an idea the director's young daughter thought up, which explains its childlike aesthetic.
