LA Film Fest free screenings

This quintessential LA festival, produced by Film Independent, is the perfect kickoff for the summer movie season. This year, in honor of the fest's 20th anniversary, get a taste the cinematic revelry for free at a series of on-the-house community screenings slated to take place in conjunction with the festival. The roster of films includes Amy Heckerling’s Clueless, Luis Valdez’s La Bamba, Dave LaMattina and Chad Walker’s I Am Big Bird, Buster Keaton’s Cops and Sherlock Jr. and Thomas Miller‘s Limited Partnership. The full lineup complete with venue and showtime details will be announced May 6, and to celebrate, Film Independent will host a pre-festival outdoor screening of everyone's favorite 90s cult classic Clueless at LA Live's Nokia Plaza. Director Amy Heckerling and stars Stacey Dash, Elisa Donovan and Donald Faison will introduce the film, so arrive Instagram-ready.
