Adapted from the musical of the same name, The Rocky Horror Picture Show is not heavy on plot, but douses the audience with silly antics, kooky characters and lots of camp. We follow couple Brad Majors (Barry Bostwick) and Janet Weiss (Susan Sarandon) who find themselves stranded in the woods and, naturally, seek refuge in a nearby castle. The castle belongs to self-proclaimed transvestite Dr. Frank N. Furter (Tim Curry) and his colorful creations who burst into song at any opportunity. Frank wants them to stay for dinner, but they're not too sure why. Despite its oddities, the great tunes make this low-budget adaptation oddly compelling – especially when seen with a crowd.
