Based on a true story, the film is about Mark, a 38-year-old virgin who has had an iron lung for most of his life due to polio. After consulting his priest and deciding to lose his virginity, he hires Cheryl, a sex surrogate to help him. Feelings, emotional growth and self-revelations inevitably ensue.
