Built in 1933 during the peak period of California coastal expansion, the Georgian Hotel is a finely conceived amalgamation of Romanesque revival and art deco styles, and a 2007 renovation brought out the building's most flattering assets. The rooms are elegantly modern yet maintain some original features, such as exposed water pipes and solid wood doors; the old-school elevator won't get you there in a hurry but will get you there in style. One of the hotel's best attributes is the lovely veranda on which guests can take their morning coffee or evening cocktail.
