This '50s motel is one of the best buys on Beverly, its location and attitude making it popular with younger movers and shakers who either don't have the cash to splash on an updated Kor Group property of the same vintage or would rather save their money. Luxury is conspicuous by its absence: the rooms are unashamedly basic, and the pool area is about as plain as you'll ever find. Still, the funkiness is all part of the appeal, the hotel's diner (Swingers) is a real winner, and the price is most definitely right.
