The closest thing to a European squat-style venue in Los Angeles, this stark, hard-to-find warehouse-like space near Skid Row hosts the latest in indie-noise, political art-punk and the like. The Smell doesn't serve booze, and thus attracts an all-ages crowd skewed towards the younger end of the range. Veggie-friendly snacks are available.
