Hollywood is pushing itself into the 21st century with vigour, but some attractions remain stuck in the past. The Hollywood Wax Museum harks back to days long past, when a poorly proportioned wax model of someone famous was liable to draw gasps of astonishment from fun-starved crowds. There's fun to be had trying to recognise the stars, but perhaps not 16 bucks' worth. Combined tickets are available with the Guinness World of Records Museum (No.6764, 1-323 462 5991) across the street.
