Although Chris Isaak will probably always be known as the lucky bastard who got to roll around on the beach with a topless Helena Christensen in the classic video for his biggest hit, “Wicked Game,” you shouldn’t overlook his supple voice and rockabilly style—heard on his latest effort, Beyond the Sun—just because he’s not romping with the models as much as he once did.
